You can put this solution on YOUR website!
10%2B6=2%2B3%28g%2B1%29
First use distributive property of multiplication on your last term. first multiply 3 times g and then multiply 3 times 1. This distributes the 3 out to both of the operands in parenthesis.
10%2B6=2%2B3g%2B3
Now we can begin to simplify the problem by combining like terms
16=5%2B3g
Now we can begin to solve for g
Minus 5 from both sides
16-5=5%2B3g-5 which leaves us with 11=3g.
Now divide each side by 3 to isolate g
11%2F3=%283g%29%2F3 Which then simplifies to 3.66=g
Hope this helps.
