Question 121770: The length of a rectangle is 8 in. more than twice its width. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 64 in., find the width os the rectangle. I got 10 in. Is that right? Answer by oscargut(2103) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let Width=W and length=L
so L=8+2W and 2(L+W)=64
so 2(8+2W+W)=64 then 8+3W=32
then W=8 and L=24
