sqrt(2y+7) = y-4
Square both sides to get:
2y+7 = y^2-16y+16
y^2-18y+9=0
y = [18 +- sqrt(18^2-4*9)]/2
y = [18 +- sqrt(288)]/2
y = [18 +- 16.9706]/2
y = 17.4853 or y = 0.5147
