Question 121634: Using Substitution to Solve Linear Systems of Equations
1. y= x -1
2x -y =0
2. x+y= -3
3x+y= 3
3. x-y= 4
x-2y= 10
4.3x +y=0
x-y= 4
5. 2x +5y = 4
x +5y = 7
6.-3x + y = -3
2x- 5y = -11
7. 2x -3y = -14
3x-y= -7
8.x-5y= -3
4x -3y= 5
9.x-2y=0
2x - y =6

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=x-1 now replace y with (x-1) in the other equation.
2x-(x-1)=0
2x-x+1=0
x+1=o
x=-1 answer.
y=-1-1
y=-2 answer.
------------------------------------
x+y=-3
y=-x-3 now replace y with (-x-3) in the other equation & solve for x
3x+(-x-3)=3
3x-x-3=3
2x=3=3
2x=6
x=6/2
x=3 answer.
y=-3-3
y=-6 answer.
----------------------------------------------
These is two procedures for the substitution method.
We are not here to do your homework but to show you how to solve problems step by step which I have done.
