You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The car traveled for 1/2 hour at 49 mph, so it must have gone 49%2F2=24.5 miles. Since the car left at 8AM, and reached the snowplow 30 minutes later, it must have arrived at the snowplow at 8:30AM. The snowplow covered the same distance, 24.5 miles, but started at 5AM. In other words, the snowplow travelled 24.5 miles in 3.5 hours (8:30 - 5). 24.5%2F3.5+=+7mph.
