A string is stretched from corner to corner on a floor tiled with square tiles. If the floor is 28 tiles long and 35 tiles wide, over how many tiles does the string cover?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I put a ruler on a piece of graph paper and noted for every unit of length it covered 2 squares.
My scientific guess is 2*28=56 squares.
Let me know if I'm correct.
