You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Subtract with answer in simplist form.
7/(y-8) - 1/(y+1)
-----------
Least Common denominator is (y-8)(y+1)
---------------
Rewrite each fraction with the lcd as its denominator:
---------------------------
7(y+1)/lcd - (y-8/lcd
---------------------
Combine the numerators over the lcd:
[7y+7-y+8]/lcd
-----------------
=7y+15/lcd
= (7y+15)/[(y-8)(Y+1)]
===========================
