You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The big rectangle is 8 x 9.
The top square is 2 x 2.
The quarter-circle on bottom is of area %281%2F4%29%2A3.14%2A3%5E2.
How tall the triangular piece on the right, is 9-4-2=3, so that piece is area half of 3 x 3.

Using those should give no complications.

.

The big rectangle is 8 x 9.
The top square is 2 x 2.
The quarter circle on bottom is of area %281%2F4%29%2A3.14%2A3%5E2.
The triangular piece is an isosceles right angled triangle with the legs of 3 units,
so its area is %281%2F2%29%2A3%2A3.

Add the four partial areas to get the total.
