You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Subtract: write your answer in simplest form.
:
y-2/y+3 subtract y/2y+6
:
%28%28y-2%29%29%2F%28%28y%2B3%29%29 - y%2F%28%282y%2B6%29%29 = %28%28y-2%29%29%2F%28%28y%2B3%29%29 - y%2F%282%28y%2B3%29%29; factored out the 2
:
The common denominator will be just: 2(y+3)
%282%28y-2%29-y%29%2F%282%28y%2B3%29%29 = %282y-4-y%29%2F%282%28y%2B3%29%29 = %28y-4%29%2F%282%28y%2B3%29%29
