For a certain ideal gas,the volume V (in cubic centimeters) equals 20 times the temperature T(in degrees Celsius).If the temperature varies from 80°to 120°C inclusive,what is the corresponding range of the volume of the gas?
The relation
V= 20*T
When T=80
V= 80*20=1600
When T=120
V= 20*120 = 2400
The corresponding range of the volume is from 1600 to 2400 cubic centimeters.

Physically, this problem is posed INCORRECTLY.

In order for the problem be correct, realistic and adequate, the gas temperature
should be expressed as ABSOLUTE temperature in degrees of Kelvin.

Then the used words and terms are almost the same,
but the meaning of the problem is totally different
(as different, as different are a day and a night).

You must add 273.15o (or rounded to 273o) to the Celsius
temperatures to convert them to degrees Kelvin.
