mateo goes on day 0, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60.
looks like day 60 is the first day they both get to go on the same day again.

As the problem is worded, two answers are possible:
(C) 60 days
and
(D) 120 days.
To exclude two answers and allow only one, the problem's question should be posed differently.
It should ask about the number of days, when M and C will go to the grocery in the same day next time.

Regarding the response from tutor @ikleyn....
The question asks "how many days until they go to the grocery store on the same day again". That phrasing means the answer is the number of days until the FIRST time they go on the same day.
So the answer is "60". It is not "either 60 or 120".
