and
1%2F3 in the store: so, we have x%2F3

he spent total of x%2F2%2Bx%2F3 and still has $100
sum of all he spent and he still have must be equal to original amount

x=x%2F2%2Bx%2F3%2B100....solve for x
x-x%2F2-x%2F3=100
%286x-3x-2x%29%2F6=100
x%2F6=100
