You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Say you have the number 6 and you want to find the multiplicative inverse, you're asking yourself: What number multiplied by 6 equals 1? In other words, you want to solve 6x=1

x=1%2F6 Divide both sides by 6 to solve for x

So the multiplicative inverse of 6 is 1%2F6. It turns out that the multiplicative inverse of any number, is simply the reciprocal of that number. In other words, the multiplicative inverse of x is 1%2Fx
