Question 1206812: Robbie choses a card from a standard deck of cards (52 cards). The probability of picking a face card (A, K, Q, or J) is 30%. If he performs this experiment 260 times, replacing and reshuffling the card each time, predict the number of of times he will choose a face card?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! the probability of picking a face card (A, K, Q or J) = 4 * 4 = 16 / 52 = .307 which we'll round off to .30 for purposes of this problem.
assuming the probability is .30, then he should get a face card approximately .30 * 20 = 6 times out of 20 tries and he should get a face card approximately .30 * 80 = 24 times out of 80 tries.
6 / 20 = .30.
24 / 80 = .30.
the numbers are different but the ratio remains the same.
