My attempt:
5% = .05
1 / .05 = 20 gms.
Where am I correct ?

Your understanding, your calculations, your numbers in the post all are correct.
I would say, everything is correct.
With one exception: in Math and in Physics, we always use abbreviation "g" for grams,
and never write/(never use) gm or gms for this purpose.
What are the rules of writing "grams" on food items - - - I do not know.
