You can put this solution on YOUR website! on the days he worked overtime, he was paid 95 dollars.
on the days he didn't work overtime, he was paid 80 dollars.

x = number of days he worked overtime.

his total compensation was 95 * x + 2 * 80 = 1870 dollars.
simplify to get 95 * x + 160 = 1870
subtract 160 from both sides of the equation to get 95 * x = 1710
solve for x to get x = 18.

he worked 18 days at 95 per day and 2 days at 80 per day for a total of 1870 dollars.

18 * 95 = 1710
2 * 80 = 160
1710 + 160 = 1870.

solution is that he worked a total of 20 days, 18 at 95 per day and 2 at 80 per day.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Assume he works totally for x days

he gets $80 per day
$15 overtime except 2 days

TOTAL =$1870

equation
80x +15*(x-2)=1870
80x +15x-30 =1870
95x-30=1870
95x = 1870+30=1900

95x =1900
x=1900/95
x=20
two days no overtime
18*15=270
he earned $270 on overtime.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Informally....

If he had worked overtime on those other two days also, he would be making $80+$15 = $95 every day, and his total earnings would have been $1870+2($15) = $1900.

$1900 at $95 per day means the number of days he worked was $1900/$95 = 1900/95 = 20.

So he worked 20 days, with overtime on 18 of those days.

ANSWERS:
(a) He worked for a total of 20 days
(b) His pay from overtime was 18($15) = $270

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The description can be arranged into a constant rates table.
d, the variable for number of days he worked; "regular" pay goes for each day,
regardless of if done overtime or not.
PAYRATE               DAYS          MONEY
 80 regular            d
 15 overtime           d-2
TOTAL                               1870

Fill the missing MONEY data.
PAYRATE               DAYS          MONEY
 80 regular            d             80d
 15 overtime           d-2          15(d-2)
TOTAL                               1870

As the problem is worded in the post, its formulation is DEFECTIVE.

To be correct, the problem should be re-formulated in this way

    Victor is paid $80 per day. In addition he is paid $15 for each day he works overtime.
    If he worked overtime each day except for 2 days, when he worked regular hours, and earned a total of $1,870.00,
    - how many days did he work to earn this amount ?
    - the amount of money he earned from overtime only ?

My addition is the underlining terms.
