Question 1205436: A boy spends 32% of his money and has #102 left. How much had he at last? Found 4 solutions by math_tutor2020, MathLover1, Edwin McCravy, josgarithmetic:Answer by math_tutor2020(3817) (Show Source):
If so, then let's say x represents that amount.
32% of x = 0.32x = amount spent
x - 0.32x = 0.68x = amount leftover
He spent 32% of his money and keeps the remaining 68%
The two percentages add to 100%
0.68x = 102
x = 102/0.68
x = 150 is the starting amount of money.
I'm not sure which currency units you're working with.
