you probably made mistake typing 8004 of them were women , I assume it should be 804

There were 1200 persons at a crusade, 804
let the number of men be x
then the number of children is 3x
x%2B3x%2B804=1200
4x=1200-804
4x=396
x=396%2F4
x=99 =>the number of men
then
3x=3%2A99
3x=297 => the number of children
