Question 1204548: An objects hangs from a spring in a stable (equilibrium) position at a height of 5 feet. The spring is pulled 3 feet downward and the object begins to oscillate, making one complete oscillation every 4 seconds. Write a sinusodial equation of the motion of this object. Assume that the object starts at the point of equilibrium. Answer by ikleyn(52802) (Show Source):

I repeat here my response to the previous post.
...................................................
Two parts of this post contradict each other.
One part says that the object begins to oscillate when the springs is pulled 3 feet from equilibrium position.
Other part instructs a reader to assume that the object starts at the point of equilibrium.
