Question 1204383: Hi, I just posted this problem but judging by Ms.MathLover's response, I have confused people. Here's a clearer version of the question:
"I have two more sisters than brothers and each of my sisters have two more sisters than brothers. How many more sisters than brothers does the oldest brother have?"
This is a bit of a variation on a similar problem I posted recently. Please walk me through this.
Thank you!!

From the post, it is clear that "I" (the person who speaks) is a female, i.e. a sister.

Hence, the number of girls in the family is 3 more that the number of boys.

Hence, the oldest brother, equally as any other boy in the family, has 4 more sisters than brothers.

ANSWER. The oldest brother has 4 more sisters than brothers.

Equally as any other brother in the family.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

if the total numbers of girls is g, then without girl who is telling us the sentence above the number of the girls will be
g-1 .....the number of sisters to "I"
if the girl has two more sisters than brothers (b),
g+-1+=+b+%2B+2
g+=+b+%2B+3
It says that the number of girls in the family is 3+more than the number of boys.
Hence, the oldest brother (the oldest boy) has 4 more sisters than brothers.
