I'm not sure of the exact wording of the problem, so if there is a similar version in your mind which makes more sense, please assume it to be the real version. (The way you guys assume that when a student says x + 1 / 2 they mean %28x+%2B+1%29+%2F+2 )
"I have two more sisters than brothers and each of my sisters have two more sisters than brothers. How many more sisters than brothers does the oldest brother have?"
This is a bit of a variation on a similar problem I posted recently. Please walk me through this.

x+%2B+1%2F2.....since you have fraction 1%2F2, you can write x as a fraction like this: 2x%2F2
2x%2F2+%2B+1%2F2.... 2+is common denominator, so you add numerators
