The first term is, OBVIOUSLY, 9%2A%28-2%2F3%29 = (-2)*3 = -6.


It is clear from the formula   a%5Bn%5D = a%5B1%5D%2A%28-2%2F3%29%5E%28n-1%29  for the n-th term.
