I will not solve (c) in order for do not make a mess from this post.
(a) 35 = 5*7; therefore log(35) = log(5*7) = log(5) + log(7) = 0.6990 + 0.8451 = 1.541. ANSWER
(b) First, log(2) = = log(10) - log(5) = 1 - 0.6990 = 0.301.
Next, 2.8 = = = log(7) + log(2) - log(5) = 0.8451 + 0.301 - 0.6990 = 0.4471. ANSWER
Solved.
