The 1st choice is 1 of 16.
Then 1 of 15, then 14, etc.
---> 16*15*14 ... 11
The product of those 6 numbers.
But, choosing A, B, C, D, E and F is the same as choosing A, F, C, etc.
6*5*4*3*2*1 different ways = 720 ways for any combination.
Divide the big number by 720.
That's it.

It asks how many different combinations of 6 children can be made of the group of 16 children.


The answer is  C%5B16%5D%5E6 = 16%21%2F%286%21%2A10%21%29 = %2816%2A15%2A14%2A13%2A12%2A11%29%2F%281%2A2%2A3%2A4%2A5%2A6%29 = 8008.
