You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-6X = 18 - Y
9 = -3X - 8Y
Rearrange with variables on onside
-6x+y =18-------------1
-3x-8y=9--------------2
Lets equalise the coefficients of x
Multiply eqn (2) by -2
we get 6x+16y = -18 -------------3
solve (1) & (3)
-6x+y =18
6x+16y = -18
Add the equations
17y =0
y=0
plug y=0
-6x+y =18
-6x =18
x=-3

x=-3 ,y=0
