(i)  to calculate the mean and the standard deviations for the binomial distribution, use the formulas

    mean = np = 1000*0.10 = 100.    ANSWER


    SD = sqrt%28n%2Ap%2A%281-p%29%29 = sqrt%281000%2A0.1%2A%281-0.1%29%29 = sqrt%2890%29 = 9.4868 (rounded).     ANSWER
