You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the regular hours that Helen worked be h
Then the overtime hours that she worked will be h+-+35
In words,
gross pay = (regular hrs)(reg dollars/hr) + (overtime hrs)(overtime dollars/hr)
380+=+7.6h+%2B+%281.5%2A7.6%29%2A%28h+-+35%29
380+=+7.6h+%2B+11.4%2A%28h+-+35%29
380+=+7.6h+%2B+11.4h+-+399
380+=+19h+-+399
19h+=+779
h+=+41
This is the regular hrs worked
Overtime hours worked = h+-+35
Overtime hours worked = 41+-+35
So, Helen worked 6 hours overtime that week answer

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = number of overtime hours worked
hourly pay * hours worked = regular pay
7.6*35 = $266
gross pay - regular pay = overtime hours pay
380 - 266 = 114
overtime hours pay = 1.5 times her regular pay
114 = 1.5*7.6*x
x=10 hours overworked
if you have different way to solve it, i would be happy to hear from you!!!
