Question 1198121: Why does it not matter which point you choose when writing the equation of the line in poit slope form when given two points
Answer by josgarithmetic(39620) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Why? Try it! Take any two points on a line. Use each of them to set up the two equations. You already know that each point will satisfy the equation of the line. If you set up each equation in point-slope form, and then take steps to put each into slope-intercept form, they should look the same.
