You can  put this solution on YOUR website! formula you can use is f = p * (1 + r) ^ n
f is the future value
p is the present value
r is the interest rate per time period.
n is the number of time periods.
if a time period is 2 minutes, then 5 minutes is 2.5 time periods.
if the bacteria double evey 2 minutes, then the growth factor is 2.
since the growth factor is equal to 1 + the growth rate, then the growth rate is equal to 1.

if you start with 320 bacteria, then the formula becomes:
f = 320 * (1 + 1) ^ 2.5 = 320 * 2 ^ 2.5 = 1810.19336

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5 minutes is 2.5 times the doubling period.
Therefore, the number of bacteria after 5 minutes is    = 1810  (rounded).    ANSWER
