Question 1196750: A roller coaster in California allows riders to undergo a freefall in which they descend 415 feet in 7 seconds, accelerating to nearly 100 miles per hour. If x represents the average rate of fall of the roller coaster, use the distance formula to write an algebraic equation describing the roller coaster's motion during the freefall.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

The distance formula is

    x*t = D (average speed times time equals distance).

For given problem it takes form

    7x = 415  feet.

From this formula, the average rate is

    x = 415%2F7 = 59.286  ft/s.

Solved.

The meaning of the question in the post is quite dark, but I did my best.
