Question 119478: Good evening ma'am or sir, please help on how to solve this problem involving expressions with exponents. This one was a nosebleed for me, no matter how much I try it I still can't get the right answer.
1). The speed of radio waves is 297 600 km per second. How much time is needed for the radio imjpulse to travel from a station to a radio if the distance between them is 1280 km?
Thank you very much!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
distance = rate x time
time in sec = (distance in km) / (rate in km/sec)
t+=+1280+%2F+297600
t+=+1.2%2A10%5E3+%2F+%282.976%2A10%5E5%29
t+=+%281.2%2F2.976%29%2A10%5E3%2A10%5E%28-5%29
t+=+.403226%2A10%5E%28-2%29
t+=+4.03226%2A10%5E%28-3%29 sec
I rounded the answer to 6 places because the speed is given to 6 places
