Question 1194104: an elevator is 25 inches above the ground after 3 seconds. Part A: How many inches per second is this? Part B: How many inches above the ground will it be after 15 seconds? Multiply the answer to Part A by 15. Part C: After 45 seconds, will the elevator have gone 360 inches? Multiply the answer to part A by 45. How far has the elevator gone? Is it more than 360?

Part A...
In order to calculate inches per second, we need to know the elapsed time and the change in position -- but the problem as stated doesn't give us that. We know the elapsed time is 3 seconds, but we only know the ending position. Without knowing the starting position, we can't answer the question.
And then of course the later parts in the problem can't be worked either....
If you have copied the problem directly from your source, I can't help you.
If you have left something out of the statement of the problem, re-post with all the necessary information.

Hey, when a person writes "3 seconds after", he must add, after WHAT event
(if it is not defined explicitly or does not supervene from the context in a unique way).
Otherwise, his (or her) writing can be considered as a puzzle, but can not be considered as a Math problem.
For posting puzzles with incomplete info, find another site and have fun there.
