Make a sketch.

Find a right angled triangle.

It is formed by half of the chord, the perpendicular to the chord drawn from the center, and the radius.

Apply the Pythagorean theorem and get for the half of the chord its length

the half of the chord = sqrt%28%2852%2F2%29%5E2-10%5E2%29 = 24 units.

Hence, the length of the chord is 2*24 = 48 units. ANSWER

Solved.
