.
Henry and Imran had the same number of playing cards.
Henry gave away 4/5 of his playing cards while Imran gave away 5/7 of his playing cards.
Given that Henry gave away 12 playing cards more than Imran,
how many playing cards did Henry have at first?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let x = # of Henry's playing cards = # of Imran playing cards.
After giving away, we have this equation
    %284%2F5%29x - %285%2F7%29x = 12
To solve it, multiply both sides by 35.  You will get
    28x - 25x = 12*35
       3x     = 12*35
        x     =  4*35 = 140.
ANSWER.  Henry had 140 playing cards at first.
Solved.
