3 =
b = s
After his mother gave him $44 and his sister $122, Bryan then had twice as much money as his sister.
b + 44 = 2(s+122)
b + 44 = 2s + 244
b = 2s + 244 - 44
b = 2s + 200
Replace b with s s = 2s + 200
Get rid of the fraction, multiply by 5
18s = 10s + 1000
18s - 10s = 1000
8s = 1000
s = $125 his sister had at first
