Question 1190803: Given the functions f(x)=1/x write the equation g(x) after the following transformations:
Horizontal compression by the factor of 1/5
Vertical stretch by the factor of 7
Reflection in the y-axis
Translation 10 units left and 1 unit down
This is what i have, g(x) =7(-5(1/x+10))-1 is this right?

.

Such formulation "Horizontal compression by the factor of 1/5" is not used in Math and does not work.

The term "horizontal compression of the plot" is used with the factor greater or equal to 1, ONLY.
