Question 118960: Hello can you help me with this problem.
5x+4y=12
Solve for y
Answer:
Show your work here:
b) When graphed this equation would be a line. By examining your answer to part a, what is the slope and y-intercept of this line?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a) As equation is 5x+4y=12
we get 4y=12-5x
thus y=3-(5/4)x
thus y=-(5/4)x+3
b) comparing this equation to famous y=mx+c, where m is the slope of the line and c is the Y-intercept we get,
slope=-5/4 and
y-intercept=3
c)when x=16, y =-(5/4)*16+3
thus y=-20+3;
thus y=-17
