Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! there are 4 aces and 4 jacks, and each is unique, so this would be 8/52 or 2/13.
-
Red card or a black card is 100%. There are no other types.
-
number below 5 is 4/3/2 (will exclude an ace), which are 12 cards.
Black cards are 26.
But we have to subtract the double counted black cards that are below 5, and there are 6 of them.
So the probability is (12+26-6)/52=32/52 or 8/13.
-
Spade or a diamond are 2 of the 4 suits so 50%.
-
Red card or face card is (26+12-6)/52 since there are 26 red cards, 12 face cards, and half the face cards are red. This is also 32/52 or 8/13.
