Find the number of sodas sold and the number of hotdogs sold.

    sodas + hotdogs = 220

      x   +  (x-46) = 220

          2x        = 220 + 46 = 266

           x                   = 266/2 = 133.


ANSWER.  133 sodas and 133 - 46 = 87 hotdogs.
