At an exhibition 320 are Chinese. 5/7 of the remainder are Malay and the rest are Indian. The Malay form 1/3 of the total number of visitors. Half of the Indian and three quarters of the Malay are female. The ratio of the number of female visitors to male visitors is 5 to 3. How many Chinese male visitors are there.

There are dozens of ways to set up this problem. After digesting the given information, here is the way I worked the problem.
(6) From (2a) and (2b), let 5x be the number of Malay and 2x be the number of Indian
(7) From (6) and (3), find an expression for the total number
(8) From (6) and (7), find an expression for the number of Chinese
(9) From (8) and (1), determine the value of x
(10) From 6, 8, and 9, determine the number of Malay and Indian, and the total number
(11) From (4a), (4b), and (10), determine the numbers of male and female Malay and Indian
(12) From (5) and (10), determine the total number of male and female
(13) From (11) and (12), determine the number of Chinese male
