You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
During the normal, regular admission for a movie ticket is Php 160 per ticket
while the seniors pay Php 140 per ticket. If the total sales for a certain movie is
Php 29, 600 for an audience of 190 people, how many seniors watch the movie?
How many are not seniors?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
x = seniors
(190-x) = the rest audience.
Total money equation
140x + 160*(190-x) = 29600
From the equation
x = = 40.
So, there were 40 seniors. The rest, 190 - 40 = 150 are not seniors.
ANSWER. The number of not seniors is 150.
CHECK. 140*40 + 160*150 = 2960, total money. ! Correct !
