Question 118737: This question is really hard and I need a lot of help!
Researchers marked and released 36 pike in a pond. Later they counted 20 pike, 12 of which were marked. Estimate the pike population. See I got the answer 60 is that right or am I wrong? Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 12/20=36/x now cross multiply.
12x=20*36
12x=720
x=720/12
x=60 pike in the pond.
you're right on!!!!!!
