You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
Two vehicles 2000 m apart are approaching each other. Vehicle A is moving at a constant speed of
10 m/s
while vehicle B is moving at a constant speed of 12 m/s. An insect with a speed of 15 m/s
started from A and flew back and forth from A to B,
B to A and so on until A and B met. What was the total distance traveled by insect?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The two cars move toward each other, so their approaching rate is 10 m/s + 12 m/s = 22 m/s.
THEREFORE, they will meet each other in  2000%2F22  seconds = 90.9090... seconds.
The insect moves during this time with the speed of 15 m/s,
so its traveled distance will be  15*90.9090 = 1363.636 meters, in all.    ANSWER
