Question 1186581: Hello night owls, if anyone can help me with this, I would be so grateful. I really want to understand.
Problem #6) Which rational number is larger, 2/3 or 8/11. Justify your answer.
(Now I want to say 2/3, but I don't know how to justify it.)
It also continues to say to give a rational number that lies between 2/3 and 8/11. Express your answer as a fraction for which both the numerator and denominator are whole numbers.
Please help! Thank you truly.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
system%282%2F3%2Cor%2C8%2F11%29, which is larger?

See denominators, 3 and 11, both prime numbers.

%282%2F3%29%2811%2F11%29+versus+%288%2F11%29%283%2F3%29
22%2F33 versus 24%2F33
and you can see.
