You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

w = the width, in feet.

(w+3) ft,  the length.

The area INEQUALITY

    w*(w+3) <= 18 ft^2

Transform to the standard quadratic inequality form

    w^2 + 3w - 18 <= 0

Factor left side

    (w+6)*(w-3) <= 18

The solution is  -6 <= w <= 3.

Due to obvious physical reason, the possible values of the width w must satisfy
this inequality

    0 <= w <= 3.

ANSWER. The width of the garden must satisfy this inequality 0 <= w <= 3 ft. The length should be (w+3) ft.

Solved and explained in all details.
