Let amount Amber has be "x" dollars.
Then Jackie has "2x" dollars.
And Alexandra has "x+6" dollars.

EQUATION:
x + 2x + x+6 = 54
4x+6 = 54
4x = 48
x = $12 (amount Amber has)
2x = $24 (amount Jackie has)
x+6 = $18 ( amount Axexandra has)
