Question 1186140: The length of time (T) in seconds it takes the pendulum of a clock to swing through one complete cycle is give by the formula T = 2 pi squareroot L/32 Where L is the length, in feet, of the pendulum, and pi is approximately 22/7. How long must the pendulum be one complete cycle takes 8 seconds? I keep coming up with 51.88 but apparently it isn’t correct. Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

If to use value of pi = 3.14159, you will get L = 51.88 ft (rounded to 2 dp).

If to use value of pi = 22%2F7, you will get L = 51.83 ft (rounded to 2 dp).

------------

If you keep coming up with  51.88,  as you write in your post,  it means  (at least I understand it this way from your post)

that you did not make the calculations on your own,  but got them from the third party.

Am  I  right ?
