You can put this solution on YOUR website! how do i find the x- intercepts of -x^4+1.5x^3+8x^2-1.5x-7?
-------------
The coefficients add to zero so x=1 is a zero;
1)....-1....1.5....8....-1.5...-7
.......-1.....0.5...8.5....7...|..0
Quotient: -x^3+0.5x^2+8.5x+7
-----------
x=-1 is a zero
-------
-1....-1....0.5....8.5....7....1
........-1... 1.5....7...|..0
Quotient: -x^2+1.5x+7
------------
x=-2 is a zero
-2)....-1....1.5....7
.........-1...3.5..|..0
Quotient: -x+3.5
----
Since -x+3.5 = 0 , the final zero is 3/5 or 7/2
