That means Melvin ate 1/(1+4) = 1/5 of the pizza.

(2) The ratio of the pizza eaten by Rahim to the total eaten by the rest of them was 1:3.

That means Rahim ate 1/(1+3) = 1/4 of the pizza.

(3) Norman and Pramesh ate the same amount of pizza.

Together Melvin and Rahim ate (1/5)+1/4) = (4/20)+(5/20) = 9/20 of the pizza, so 11/20 was left for Norman and Pramesh. So Norman and Pramesh each ate 11/40 of the pizza.

Rahim: 1/4 = 10/40 of the pizza
Melvin: 1/5 = 8/40 of the pizza
Norman: 11/40 of the pizza
