This is the way I find easiest for solving this kind of problem....

Given:
4 people, 2 bags, 24 days

(1) Change the 2 bags to 6 bags, which increases the number of bags by a factor of 3; that means you need 3 times as many people:
12 people, 6 bags, 24 days

(2) Change the 24 days to 36 days, which increases the number of days by a factor of 3/2; that means you need 2/3 as many people:
8 people, 6 bags, 36 days

ANSWER: 8 people
